“Today you are you! That is truer than true! There is no one alive who is you-er than you!”- Dr. Seuss. Unfortunately, the you that is YOU sometimes is lost and has been robbed of its uniqueness, talent, and beauty, making it hard to connect with the people around you and stops you from doing things you love. Hey, I am here to say that you do not have to figure it all out alone.
I am a licensed professional therapist in the state of Georgia. I received my Master's in Mental Health Counseling through Denver Seminary. In the past 5 years I have successfully worked with many individuals, from itty bitties to the young at heart. I have worked with individuals and families struggling with the impact of their traumatic experiences, adjustment, anxiety and depression, among other challenges.
It takes much courage to seek out help. I take that in consideration when providing services, by taking my time to get to know you, your strength's and needs. People process their thoughts differently, thus I use a variety of evidence-based approaches to help you navigate through these and your emotions, including faith and or your spiritual belief in God. I look forward to collaborating with you on this journey. Let’s set out and uncover the truer YOU.
Why Intermission Counseling?
I have had many transitions in my life. These experiences have shaped who I am today. One constant experience in my life has been about being with people, helping people. I was a tutor, camp counselor, Bible correspondence studies coordinator, a teacher, a pastor, and a counselor. Intermission Counseling is an integration of the hope found within my personal story and who I am meant to be—an encourager. Intermission Counseling is about you taking the time to also be encouraged in your own journey. I am here to encourage you and cheer you on as you make these important steps towards finding wholeness. Your future is not defined by your past. Hope, healing, joy and peace can be found today.
